Low-temperature sintering of Li4SiO4 spheres with high crushing load using mesoporous silica as Si sources

Li4SiO4 has been widely studied as tritium breeder and high temperature CO2 capture material. Tritium breeding rate adsorption capacity are closely related to lithium content microstructure. Since sintering temperatures result in grain coarsening sublimation, it is a great challenge prepare ceramics with satisfactory mechanical strength at low temperature. In this work, mesoporous silica was used Si source spheres. The structure might provide more reaction sites for ions, thereby facilitating the between LiOH silica. of spheres greatly reduced by using source. homogenous fine-grained microstructure (the average size 2.2 ?m) crushing load (41.65N) could be obtained 675?C.
